Roadmap & milestones

First publicly-traded pure-play fusion (SPAC)

~ 2026-01
General Fusion

Nasdaq listing via Spring Valley III SPAC (renaming to General Fusion Group Ltd, ticker GFUZ; ~$1B pro forma). Form F-4 filed Feb 2026, backed by a ~$105M PIPE plus ~$230M in trust; shareholder vote pending, de-SPAC targeted for mid-2026.

LM26 — practical magnetized-target fusion demonstration

~ 2026-06
General Fusion

General Fusion's Lawson Machine 26 (Richmond, BC), built and operational in ~16 months, compresses large-scale magnetized plasmas — including with a lithium liner — without superconducting magnets or lasers, the company's 'practical' MTF path. After first plasma it is pushing toward 100M°C and a Lawson triple product nTτ > 10²¹ in 2026; General Atomics is partnering on diagnostics.
